American Pre-emption and What It Means Part3
Part1 Part2
Final scene:What's really going on.
Said Gonzales: “The convergence of globalization and technology has created a new brand of terrorism. Today terrorist threats come from smaller more loosely defined cells not affiliated with al-Qaida but who are inspired by a violent jihadist message, and left unchecked these homegrown terrorists may prove to be as dangerous as groups like al-Qaida.”
Chicago Tribune:
Also on Friday, Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty held a briefing to discuss the Justice Department's terrorism prosecution strategy.McNulty rejected the notion that the case against the Florida men was somehow less significant because of the suspects' apparent lack of skill.
In a recent speech that formed the basis for McNulty's talking points, he emphasized the need to identify plots "at the earliest possible stage and to respond with forward-leaning - preventative - prosecutions."
This thrust by law enforcement..
...represent a strategy of fighting terror by pre-empting possible attacks rather than allowing them to incubate into more concrete plots, federal authorities said Friday
From Baltimore Sun
They certainly had the will," Miami U.S. Attorney R. Alexander Acosta said yesterday. "They were searching for the way."
Columbus Dispatch, Mueller "They share ideas and information in the shadows of the Internet" where they can anonymously navigate around the more than 5,000 radical Web sites, he said.
Tracking the growing underground networks inside the United States "can be tedious work, but it is absolutely essential for the safety of this country," Mueller said.
It is clear isn't it? These guys planned this Thursday night and Friday event to justify and re-emphasize their theory of infringing on the rights of Americans and pre-emptively acting in order to "protect" us.
We have to track underground networks, get those who have a will, whether they've done anything wrong or not. Whether they have broken any laws or not. Preventative prosecutions! Can you goddam believe it? See, first it was foreign threat pre-emption. What happened? Invade a country that posed no threat. They got away with it and continue to in Iraq. Now it's domestic pre-emption. Now it's the American citizens turn to experience invasion of their rights, of their privacy, of anything, so we better get used to it.
They have to do this. Pre-emption is all they have. If Americans do not accept and embrace pre-emption as the administration touts it, Republican leadership will be in trouble. If Americans see pre-emption for what it is; lawlessness, they will throw the bums out.
In conclusion, all things Republican are political. There is no policy. There is no governance. There is only posturing and images. These idiots in Miami were treated like the pawns they had become in a public relations program second to none. It is not possible to continue the American democracy experiment when Americans are being so crassly propagandized by their own leaders.
Quite frankly, if these 7 guys in Miami are a threat, I'll take my chances.

I am sorry to inform you that you are now on the "threats list" of possible pre-emptive terrorist targets anonymously sent to the department of Homeland security by yours truely.
I would tell you to blockade your doors and arm yourself with a gun but that would force me to include myself on the list and only prolong your inevitable capture.
Do news outlets see the connection between the scheduled talk show circuits and the Miami arrests, or are they staying away from it avoiding the "liberal media" labels that would inevitably follow?
How can an honest terrorist, such as myself, make any sort of living if these dishonest government agents keep portraying Al Qaeda contacts?
You can't tell the real terrorists without uniforms and that's exactly why the Magnificent Miami 7 asked for them.
I would suggest that you send a purchase order to Homeland Security requesting a uniform. I would recomment the white blouse and pants with the Black "al" on the front. Others like the all black (Sm, Med, Lg) with Qaeda in white. They're going like hotcakes so don't get left out.
