A GOP Loss and Mrs. Dick
One sentence, one apt description of what to expect from the criminal party starting next Wednesday, from Digby

The "them" are the GOP hacks. And yes, they have been pretending to be civilized for.....I don't know.....25 years now. And lose they will. Even Fred Barnes, lapdog extraordinaire, is predicting Dems will take the House. So the pretension will be dropped altogether after the election and just in case you doubt....Here's part of Wolf Blitzer's interview with the Dick's wife Lynn over the weekend. She was on because of the similarity of sex scenes in her books and Jim Webb's books.(Webb is in a neck and neck race for a Virginia Senate seat.) Mrs. Dick is a sweetheart just like the Dick and so rightly has earned the name Mrs. Dick. Here's just a smidgeon of why she has earned her name.
L. CHENEY: Well, you know, I understand your point. It's kind of the point of a lot of people right now, to try to distort the administration's position, and if you really want to talk about that, I watched the program on CNN last night, which I thought -- it's your 2006 voter program, which I thought was a terrible distortion of both the president and the vice president's position on many issues.
It seemed almost straight out of Democratic talking points using phrasing like "domestic surveillance" when it's not domestic surveillance that anyone has talked about or ever done. It's surveillance of terrorists. It's people who have al Qaeda connections calling into the United States. So I think we're in the season of distortion, and this is just one more.
L. CHENEY: Well, right, but what is CNN doing running terrorist tape of terrorists shooting Americans? I mean, I thought Duncan Hunter ask you a very good question and you didn't answer it. Do you want us to win?
The answer, of course, is we want the United States to win. We are Americans. There's no doubt about that. Do you think we want terrorists to win?
L. CHENEY: Then why are you running terrorist propaganda?
BLITZER: This is an opportunity for you to explain on these sensitive issues.
L. CHENEY: Wolf, I have nothing to explain. Jim Webb has a lot to explain.
BLITZER: Well, he says he's only -- as a serious writer, novelist, a fiction writer, he was doing basically what you were doing.
L. CHENEY: Jim Webb is full of baloney.
This is just an example of how uncivilized it will be immediately after the House majority is taken by Dems. GOP shills have no conscience. A conscience determines right from wrong. GOP'ers only know what they call "winning". That has nothing to do with a conscience. The media will wilt immediately under the withering lies and distortions and before the Dems take up work after January it will be just like Monica, all over again.
Now you might think. "so what?". Just business as usual. Nothing new and all that. But just as a discussion group member recently and very casually mentioned about the potential assassination of Barack Obama, how long will it be before some right wing nut or group of nuts begin taking "justice" into their own hands? How long before neo-con rhetoric like Annie Coulter's rabid dog foaming pushes a fringer over the edge? Fascism rising.
