Note to Conservatives, Very Sad
It's time for me to tell conservatives out there to leave a legacy letter to their future descendants so they can understand how they were in favor of dismantling the United states of America under the Constitution.
Here's the future. I'm predicting this based on what I see as one of the most potentially dangerous societal cults in modern history.
If the neo-cons win over the electorate or if they just fraudulently steal the power as they've done in the recent past, either way, this nation of states will begin to unravel.
Migration of progressives to "blue" states with the reciprocal migration of neo-cons to "red" states. This will be followed by interstate sanctions, red vs. blue. Then the interstate checkpoints. Followed by more frequent and more destructive acts of violence, one group towards the other. All of this in the midst of declining, even depressing, economies, both statewide and nationally.
More constitutionally guaranteed rights abrogated like the first amendment. That will start and indeed has already started with the neo-con crazed screaming for the heads of the N.Y.Times and others. Dissent will be made illegal. The open forum of the internet will be greatly reduced and monitored all for "national security" or "protection of children from predators"(Foley) reasons.
The open admission, barely concealed now, that corporations control the country and that is how God wants it will all become conventional wisdom. The gulags will grow in number and be on U.S. soil. Torture will come home to roost in America.Internment camps will be constructed in key "red" states and dissenters, journalists, immigrants, and minorities will be placed there to protect the country. Public education will be dismantled further increasing the haves and have nots. Public roads, sewer and water will be "deregulated" and privatized and handed over to the "for profit" vultures who will ruin all of these once common assets of our once great nation. Our "blue" cities will crumble(think Katrina).
I think you get the picture. This is the future conservatives are advocating for. I don't believe any conservatives even knows what they are doing but that doesn't really matter. So I would encouage each and every one of them to think through and then compose something like a position paper that can be left behind for their descendants to read and thus understand how they all once stood for the destruction and dismantling of what once was the greatest nation in history.
