Prediction* for Tuesday

Bluester has looked into his crystal ball, and yes, that's right it was cloudy. Did ya' ever notice that about crystal balls, they are always fucking cloudy. Nothing fucking crystal clear about them. But we push ahead even when clouds are all we see.

Good news in Ohio though. Looks like a pretty clean sweep in Columbus and Brown to the Senate. I'm looking for Tom Sawyer to take out the Intelligent Design queen Fink in the state school board race. I mean, if we don't do something next thing you know the kids will be coming home telling you about the "controversy" concerning the earth rotating around the sun.I digress. I believe most all the school and additional funding levies will fail. I'm personally voting no on all the state iniatives except the minimum wage one.

On the smoking and anti-smoking initiatives, I just believe the local people can decide what they want. I don't see the state's interest in either one of these. If tobacco remains legal, the people can decide business by business, location by location. No state laws needed.

On the gambling one, while I've been known to pull the handle once in awhile myself, I certainly don't want what they are offering here. I don't trust the race track special interests, not one bit. Gambling for Ohio should be legalized, only not this way.

Now on to the national scene. Special note about Jon Kyl the imposter from Arizona pretending to be Senator. His race has tightened and so has the race of odious J.D. Hayworth, also known as Hayseed. These two clowns from the Republican crime scene have gotten their tits caught in the Bush/Iraq ringer and may not make it out the other side. If Dems landslide their asses are history.

Look for Lieberman to beat Lamont because Republicans will vote for Lieberman. After the election look for Bush to accept Rumsfeld's resignation, appoint Lieberman Sec of Defense and then the Connecticut governor will appoint a Republican to replace Lieberman in the Senate. Longshot but don't be surprised if it happens.

All in all, the Dems will take just about 30 seats in the House and gain 4-6 seats in the Senate. Look for serious voter and recount troubles in Missouri, Montana and probably Virginia and Ohio too.

* All predictions are predicated on the status quo. If missiles are flying into Iran tomorrow morning and/or Los Angeles is fucking incinerated early Tuesday, for example, all predictions would be rendered null and void. Bluester does not guarantee results, consult your doctor if symptoms persist.......blah fucking blah.
