Pat and the Demons.....In His Head
Christians, Muslims and Jews, have a very exclusive "special" group mentality? A kind of, "we're in, you're not" groupthink? Well, one of my special favorites tells us why....
Pat talks directly with Jehovah, so it's not like he knows all about this demon stuff through secondhand informers. No sir.
But isn't it good to know that our Muslim neighbors and friends along with any Hindus or Buddhists out there are worshipping demons? Helpful isn't it?
And take note of how similar Pat sounds here to Bush and his enablers talking about Democrats. Only Republicans love America, Dems have sided with the demon terr'rists. Great stuff.
A viewer wrote in to ask Pat Robertson a question
Why [do] evangelical Christians tell non-Christians that Jesus (God) is the only way to Heaven? Those who are Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic, etc. already know and have a relationship with God. Why is this? It seems disrespectful.
Robertson replied that it is not all disrespectful because all other religions really just worship "demonic powers."
No. They don't have a relationship. There is the god of the Bible, who is Jehovah. When you see L-O-R-D in caps, that is the name. It's not Allah, it's not Brahma, it's not Shiva, it's not Vishnu, it's not Buddha. It is Jehovah God. They don't have a relationship with him. He is the God of all Gods. These others are mostly demonic powers. Sure they're demons. There are many demons in the world.

1 Comments:
Ol' Pat's comments here could only be uttered for one of three reasons. I will leave you to be the judge of which one it is:
1. Complete ignorance of all belief sytems and religions other than his fundamentalist Christian nonsense (some of which have been around for centuries longer than any form of Judaism/Christianity, as you know.)
2. He's an asshole that certainly knows what he says is untrue, but must utter such idiocy to appease his rabid followers, bent on seeing believers of any other religions burning and suffering in their Taoist inspired version of hell. (Yes Taoist...if you understand the correct translations of the New and Old Testaments you can see that there is no mention of any kind of hell as most Christians today would like to think of it, there's not even an allusion to it. The eternal burning pain fire ouch, that fucking hurts hell is a remnant of some bit of Taoist belief that over the ages got tied into Christian teachings. But you may know that already.)
3. He actually believes that shit. This one is the scariest to me, and unfortunately, probably the most true.
What's most heinous to me isn't the fact that Pat would be carried away by the people in white coats if he wasn't claiming this shit in the name of religion, it's his complete disdain, his contempt, hell, his hatred for all other peoples in this world. I'd like to see him stand up in front of the 1 billion Hindus on earth, or the billion and a half Muslims and tell them they're worshipping demons.
Fuck, the Buddhists don't even have a formal stance on belief in God. Their practice is philosophy more than religion. Is he even aware of that? They don't pray to Buddha, they don't worship Buddha, they don't call Buddha God. He is a mentor, and a reference.
So Mr....I'm sorry, Rev. Robertson, Buddhists are worshipping demons by spreading loving-kindness and peace through meditation and positive action? Huh, that's a new one on me. Thanks for setting me straight, dickhole.
